This is the Byte Back Club's logo. His name is muncher, although muncher could be a she, we haven't checked yet?

Muncher represents what all of us feel about computers sometimes.. ...or do you??? Maybe we better ask, what ya think Muncher? Let us know how you feel about computers in the Poll.

Becoming a reality

Just to keep you updated, the Byte Back Club is soon to become constituted, which to you and me, means that it will start to operate as an official club. The next meeting of the club will be on Friday 7th December at 12 noon in Ystalyfera Development Trust to finalise the details with many thanks to CVS for helping us. The meeting is open to all with an interest in any of the following:

• Learning how to use a computer
• Helping others gain confidence in using a computer
• Providing a voluntary service to the local community
• Meeting new people and having fun with a purpose

Welcome to one and all!

This is a fascinating introduction to the world of Blog sites for me. Never really understood them and certainly didn't think they would be so easy. If you've come across this site by accident or on purpose then please please PLEASE leave a comment. We hope this will eventually become a community blog for all residents of Ystalyfera and Godre'r Graig to find out what's happening.

All too often we as a community tend to find out about things after they've happened. With time and an increasing number of people using this site, it can become a really useful resource for everyone.

You can post whatever you like (within reason of course, don't forget this isn't an adults only site so please remember that!). If you know of an event taking place, want some info, have a washing machine to sell, lost a cat......whatever, then get involved.

If you are unsure how to enter information on here then come and see us at the Trust building on Commercial Street and we will be more than happy to show you the ropes. (12/11/07 - a step by step guide to creating your own blog site is now available from the Ystalyfera Development Trust)
